How it works
This session works through guided visualization. A calm, unhurried voice leads you the whole way — you don’t need any experience, a technique of your own, or a quiet mind to begin. Over about 12 minutes it eases you in, does its gentle work, and returns you softly, so your nervous system has time to actually shift rather than being rushed.
women carrying more than their share — juggling work, people and pressure — who need a reliable way back to calm.
Best the moment you notice the overwhelm rising, or as a daily reset at the same time each day.

Welcome, and settle in now, allowing your body to find a comfortable and supported position, either sitting or lying down, whatever feels most nurturing to you in this moment.
And as you settle, begin to notice the gentle rhythm of your own breath, without needing to change it in any way, simply observing its natural flow.
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest or abdomen, the subtle sensation of air moving in and out, like a gentle wave caressing the shore.
With each breath, you're invited to release any tension you might be holding onto, letting go of any worries or concerns, knowing that you can always return to them later, but for now, allow yourself to simply be present.
Allow the mind to soften, like a cloud gently dissolving in the warm sunshine, releasing its grip on thoughts and stories.
Now, we’ll begin to gently guide the breath, deepening its calming and restorative effects, and you might find, as you listen, that a sense of peace begins to spread through your body.
Imagine breathing in a sense of calm and relaxation, drawing it in through the nose, feeling it fill your lungs, your chest, your entire being.
And as you exhale, imagine releasing any stress, tension, or anxiety, letting it go with each breath, like a weight lifting from your shoulders.
We'll use a simple 4-7-8 breathing technique to further activate your parasympathetic nervous system, the body's natural relaxation response, and you might even notice how good it feels to be here, in this moment, just breathing.
Begin by inhaling deeply through your nose for a count of four, feeling your abdomen expand.
1...2...3...4.
Hold your breath for a count of seven, allowing the breath to permeate every cell in your body, nourishing and revitalizing.
1...2...3...4...5...6...7.
And now, exhale slowly and completely through your mouth for a count of eight, releasing any remaining tension or stress.
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8.
Continue this 4-7-8 breathing pattern, at your own pace, for the next few minutes, allowing each breath to deepen your relaxation and calm your nervous system... inhaling peace.
… holding onto that peace.
… exhaling tension.
With each cycle of breath, imagine a warm, golden light spreading throughout your body, melting away any areas of tightness or discomfort, bathing you in a sense of gentle well-being, and noticing the subtle shifts within.
Feel your muscles relax, your heart rate slow, your mind become still, like a tranquil lake reflecting the clear blue sky, and perhaps even recognizing how resourceful and resilient you truly are.
Allowing the breath to guide you deeper into a state of peaceful presence, knowing that you have the power to access this calm anytime you need it, like a secret garden within your own being.
Perhaps you'll notice new sensations or insights as you continue to breathe, and that is alright, because everything is unfolding exactly as it should, in perfect timing for you.
Letting go of expectations, judgments, or any need to control the experience, simply allowing yourself to be present with the breath, with the body, with this moment, feeling safe, secure, and supported.
You may find yourself naturally smiling from the inside out, feeling a sense of gratitude for this precious gift of life, this opportunity to connect with your inner peace, and recognizing that stillness, too, is powerful.
As we approach the end of this meditation, begin to gently deepen your breath once more, preparing to return to your awareness of the room around you, carrying this sense of calm with you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes, feeling the sensations in your body, grounding yourself in the present moment, like a tree with roots reaching deep into the earth.
Gently move your head from side to side, stretching your neck, releasing any lingering tension, and perhaps even whispering a quiet 'thank you' to yourself.
When you're ready, slowly open your eyes, bringing your gaze back into the room, noticing the colors, the shapes, the light, remembering that you can always return to this inner sanctuary whenever you need to reset your nervous system, and feel the peace within.
Carry this sense of calm and well-being with you throughout your day, knowing that you are safe, you are loved, and you are always enough.
