What this meditation helps with
- a spinning, overwhelmed mind
- a body stuck in fight-or-flight
- tight chest, shallow breath and tension
- that wired-but-tired feeling after a hard day
How it works
This session works through guided visualization. A calm, unhurried voice leads you the whole way — you don’t need any experience, a technique of your own, or a quiet mind to begin. Over about 12 minutes it eases you in, does its gentle work, and returns you softly, so your nervous system has time to actually shift rather than being rushed.
women carrying more than their share — juggling work, people and pressure — who need a reliable way back to calm.
Best the moment you notice the overwhelm rising, or as a daily reset at the same time each day.

Begin by finding a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, allowing your body to settle into a place of ease, a place where you can simply be, without any need to change or adjust yourself.
Now, gently close your eyes, or if you prefer, soften your gaze, letting your vision blur, releasing any tension you might be holding around your eyes, around your forehead, around your jaw.
Take a deep, cleansing breath in, filling your lungs completely, and as you exhale, release any stress, any worry, any tension that you might be carrying with you, letting it simply flow away.
Continue to breathe deeply and evenly, feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest or your abdomen, noticing the subtle sensations of each inhale and each exhale, simply observing your breath without judgment, without trying to change it in any way.
With each breath, you are sinking deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation, allowing your body to become heavy and relaxed, letting go of any resistance, any holding on, any need to control.
Now, imagine a warm, golden light surrounding you, a light that is filled with peace, with calm, with tranquility, a light that gently washes over you, soothing every cell in your body, melting away any tension or anxiety.
This golden light knows exactly where to go, exactly what you need, dissolving any feelings of social anxiety, gently easing any nervousness or unease that may be present, allowing you to feel safe, secure, and grounded in this very moment.
Now, bring to mind a situation that triggers your social anxiety, perhaps an upcoming event, a past interaction, or a future possibility, but don't dwell on it, simply acknowledge its presence, and then gently release it into the golden light.
As you release it, imagine the golden light transforming that anxiety into a feeling of calm confidence, a sense of inner strength, a knowing that you are capable, resilient, and worthy of connection.
You are not defined by your anxiety, you are so much more than that, you are a unique and valuable individual with so much to offer the world, and you deserve to feel comfortable and at ease in social situations.
Visualize yourself in that situation, but this time, you are feeling calm and confident, you are speaking with ease and grace, you are connecting with others authentically and genuinely, and you are enjoying the experience.
Notice the positive feelings that arise as you imagine this, the sense of empowerment, the feeling of connection, the joy of being yourself, fully and completely.
Remember that you have the power to choose your thoughts, you have the power to choose your feelings, you have the power to choose how you respond to any situation, and you are choosing to respond with calm, confidence, and compassion.
And know that it's okay to feel nervous sometimes, it's okay to feel uncomfortable, it's part of being human, but you don't have to let those feelings control you, you can acknowledge them, accept them, and then gently guide yourself back to your center.
You are strong, you are capable, you are resilient, and you are always returning to your center, to that place of peace, of calm, of inner knowing where you are safe, secure, and loved.
Imagine yourself surrounded by people who love and support you, who appreciate you for who you are, who see your beauty and your light, and feel their love and support washing over you now.
Know that you are never alone, you are always connected to something larger than yourself, to a source of infinite love and wisdom, and you can always tap into that source whenever you need it.
Continue to breathe deeply and evenly, feeling the golden light surrounding you, feeling the love and support of those around you, feeling the peace and calm within you, knowing that you are safe, secure, and grounded.
You are exactly where you need to be, you are exactly who you need to be, and you are perfectly capable of handling any situation that comes your way with grace, with ease, and with confidence.
As you prepare to return to your day, carry this feeling of calm and confidence with you, knowing that you can always access it whenever you need it, simply by taking a few deep breaths and reconnecting with your inner center.
Take one final deep breath in, filling your lungs completely, and as you exhale, release any remaining tension, any remaining anxiety, any remaining stress, letting it simply flow away.
Gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes, bringing awareness back to your body, noticing the sensations of your body resting on the surface beneath you.
Slowly and gently, open your eyes, or if you prefer, continue to keep them softly closed for a few more moments, savoring the feeling of peace and calm that you have cultivated.
Take your time, there is no rush, and when you are ready, gently stretch your body, moving in any way that feels good, feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to face the day with calm confidence and grace.
