What this meditation helps with
- a spinning, overwhelmed mind
- a body stuck in fight-or-flight
- tight chest, shallow breath and tension
- that wired-but-tired feeling after a hard day
How it works
This session works through guided visualization. A calm, unhurried voice leads you the whole way — you don’t need any experience, a technique of your own, or a quiet mind to begin. Over about 11 minutes it eases you in, does its gentle work, and returns you softly, so your nervous system has time to actually shift rather than being rushed.
women carrying more than their share — juggling work, people and pressure — who need a reliable way back to calm.
Best the moment you notice the overwhelm rising, or as a daily reset at the same time each day.

Allow yourself to settle in now, finding a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and gently closing your eyes, if that feels right for you.
Take a deep, cleansing breath, filling your lungs completely, and as you exhale, release any tension you may be holding in your body and mind.
With each breath, you are invited to soften, to relax more deeply, allowing yourself to be fully present in this moment, without judgment, without expectation.
Notice the gentle rhythm of your breath, the rise and fall of your chest or abdomen, simply observing, without trying to change anything.
And as you continue to breathe, imagine a warm, golden light surrounding you, a light of peace, of serenity, a light that gently washes away any worries or anxieties.
Feel this light permeating every cell in your body, soothing your muscles, calming your mind, and bringing you to a state of deep relaxation.
Now, imagine yourself standing at the edge of a beautiful, clear river, the water flowing gently and peacefully by.
You notice, as you observe this river, that it flows effortlessly, navigating every twist and turn, every obstacle in its path, without resistance, without force.
The river simply flows, trusting the natural course of its journey, embracing every bend, every ripple, every moment along the way.
And you realize, in this moment, that you too can flow like the river, surrendering to the natural rhythm of life, trusting that everything is unfolding exactly as it should.
Think about a situation in your life where you may be holding on tightly, trying to control the outcome, feeling anxious or worried about what might happen.
See yourself gently releasing your grip, letting go of the need to control, and allowing the situation to unfold naturally, in its own time.
Imagine placing your worries and anxieties on a leaf, and gently setting that leaf afloat on the river, watching as it drifts away, carried by the current, further and further into the distance.
With each breath, feel yourself surrendering more deeply, trusting that you are exactly where you need to be, and that everything is working out for your highest good.
Know that you are safe, you are supported, and you are loved, always and in all ways.
Feel the relief that comes with letting go, the freedom that arises from trusting the flow, the peace that settles in when you surrender to the present moment.
You are capable of navigating life's challenges with grace and ease, trusting your intuition, and knowing that you have the strength and resilience to overcome anything.
Repeat after me, either silently or aloud: "I surrender control and trust the flow of life.".
Allow yourself to feel the truth of these words resonating within you, filling you with a sense of calm and confidence.
And as you continue to breathe, visualize yourself effortlessly navigating the ups and downs of life, like a boat sailing smoothly through calm waters, trusting the journey, and enjoying the ride.
Remember that you are not alone, you are connected to a vast and infinite source of wisdom and guidance, and you can always access this source whenever you need it.
Now, take a few moments to simply rest in this feeling of surrender and trust, allowing it to deepen and permeate every aspect of your being.
As you prepare to gently return to your day, carry this sense of peace and trust with you, knowing that you can access it at any time.
Begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes, bringing gentle movement back into your body.
Take a few more deep breaths, filling your lungs with fresh energy and vitality.
And when you are ready, gently open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to embrace the day with a sense of trust and surrender.
Namaste.
